THE THRONE ROOM OF INTIMACY

In James 4:7-8, we are given a strategy on how to move the Devil out of the way, and step into God's desire for us as Born-Again Believers. Notice I said, move the Devil out of the way, not ignore him. James 4:7 encourages us to "resist the Devil." In other words we are to stand strong, fight against, oppose, refuse to accept his lies and not give in to him. If we do this, he (the Devil) will flee. But don't take your eyes off of him, because he will circle back around and try again. God's desire is for us to draw nigh or come close to Him, and by doing this, God will come close to us. This is what an intimate relationship with God looks like. When we surrender our mind, will, and emotions to God, when we make time and discipline ourselves to spend time with Him on a regular basis, we are developing intimacy with God. Everytime we go before Him, we are entering into the Throne Room of Intimacy. It is that one special place where you meet God and He meets you. It's a place where no one else is allowed to enter in, except you and God. "Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help." Hebrews 4:14-16 (MSG)

Herein is our strategy and plan for 2026. This year of Divine Connection, that carries such significance for the Body of Christ. This year, is also the Hebrew year 5786 (תשפ״ו) and is part of the calendar used in Jewish tradition. Each Hebrew year is written with letters that also carry numbers. The year 5786 is made up of four Hebrew letters: ת (Tav = 400), ש (Shin = 300), פ (Peh = 80), and ו (Vav = 6). Together, they form תשפ״ו.

In Jewish thought, numbers often carry meaning. The letter Peh (פ)is connected to the mouth and speaking. This depicts that we should be careful to watch our words—to speak kindness, truth, and life. The final letter, Vav (ו), often represents connection. It is used in Hebrew as the word “and,” joining things together, similar in English grammar as a conjunction.

So, 5786 can be seen as a year of speaking and connecting. It is a reminder that our words matter and that they have the power to build bridges or tear them down. It is by the authority that Jesus has given us, that we speak and cause things to shift in the atmosphere and give them permission to exist. "Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose." Proverbs 18:21 (MSG)

See this year as an invitation to choose unity instead of division, faith instead of fear, and wisdom rather than noise. It is a time to welcome a renaissance moment in God’s timeline—an opportunity to grow, redirect, and advance your walk with God’s purpose and plan in mind. “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
