Successful building requires the right tools. Therefore, on our Christian journey we are going to need a Bible. The Bible is our instruction manual, the principles we stand on and live by. The version that is commonly used is the King James Version. However, most people find it difficult to read when it comes to words like “thee, thy, thou, and hitherto” to name a few. There are other translations available that are written to help you better understand a particular scripture. But before venturing out on your own, it would be wise to ask your pastor or biblical teacher in your church for a suggestion of what version to use. You want to make sure that the simpler translation does not take the original intent of what the scripture is designed to say out of context. Also, the simpler translation is not to replace the original transcribed version of the Bible. Other tools you may find helpful will be a Concordance and Dictionary. For deep diving you may want to use the Greek and Hebrew Study Bible, Thompson Chain Reference Bible, or deeper diving with the Interlinear Bible. Contact me for more information on these tools.
I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to get in touch with any questions, comments, or inquiries you may have.
